Mindbridge x CGRE

2026 MindShift Lab Cohort Application

Harnessing Behavioral Science for

Equity, Democracy, and Lasting Change

MindShift Lab, an initiative of the Mindbridge Institute in partnership with the Collaborative for Gender and Reproductive Equity (CGRE), offers a six-week, project-based learning experience for civic and social change organizations working at the intersection of gender, reproductive equity, and democracy.

Grounded in behavioral science, including psychology and neuroscience, MindShiftLab provides practical tools to shape strategy, shift norms, and strengthen collective action. Through a blend of weekly live Zoom sessions and an interactive online platform, participants will apply these insights to real-world challenges and opportunities.

Following the learning series, organizations will be invited to submit proposals for funding and collaboration with Mindbridge’s Research and Evaluation Department (RED). Up to six organizations will receive support to deepen, scale, and evaluate their behavioral science-informed work. The selected organizations will have their participants continue in Phase 2, Research Relay, where participants will apply knowledge from MindShift Lab and receive research assistance and funding to co-design and test behaviorally informed strategies that align with their missions.

What You’ll Gain:

  • Applied insight into behavior: Learn how values, identity, and belief systems shape public response, and how to design messaging that mobilizes communities, increases trust, and reduces resistance.

  • Science in action: Use neuroscience and psychology to reframe campaign messaging, improve voter engagement, or redesign internal culture initiatives, supported by a structured framework for experimentation.

  • Collaborative learning: Join a network of organizations advancing gender, reproductive equity, and democracy by applying behavioral science to policy advocacy, narrative change, and community organizing.

  • Tools for scale: Develop scalable, evidence-informed strategies, for example, reworking a digital organizing campaign or refining volunteer recruitment through psychological insights.

  • The chance to go further: Six organizations will be selected for Phase 2, Research Relay, through an RFP process to receive funding and behavioral science research support tailored to their programming goals.

This is your organization’s opportunity to join a vibrant network of human rights defenders applying cutting-edge science to our country’s most pressing issues. Together, we can transform systems, stories, and possibilities, ensuring that equity, dignity, and autonomy remain at the heart of our collective future.
