Culturally Responsive Therapy Learning Series

A Free 11-Part Learning Series for Mental Health Professionals + Community Practitioners

The Healing Racial Trauma Initiative (HRTI) at Mindbridge is proud to present a transformative, free 11-part learning series for mental health professionals and community practitioners committed to healing racial trauma and advancing culturally responsive care.

Originally launched in 2025 with support from the Maine Health Access Foundation (MeHAF), the series received overwhelming interest and impact, and plans to return in 2026 for a new cohort.

Led by Dr. Janeé M. Steele, a nationally recognized expert in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and racial trauma, this series is grounded in her book, Racism and African American Mental Health: Using Cognitive Behavior Therapy to Empower Healing. Participants will explore essential topics, including the psychological impact of racism, culturally responsive therapeutic approaches, and CBT-based interventions for depression, anxiety, and PTSD in African American communities.
